About Job:
Looking for a SDET / QA Automation Engineer, who will work across a modern technology stack consisting of .NET services, Python AI services, and a Next.js frontend, with services communicating through HTTP APIs.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not a traditional QA position. You will write production-quality test code, own automated testing across service boundaries, build CI/CD quality gates, and ensure that changes are safe before reaching production.
Job Responsibilities:
Own the automated release gate in collaboration with Tech Lead and DevSecOps.
Build and maintain automated test suites that run against staging before production releases.
Ensure no production change is released without passing the required automated quality gates.
Design and implement API contract tests across:
.NET Python
Backend Frontend
Other service-to-service boundaries
Implement consumer-driven and/or schema-based contract testing.
Identify breaking changes in API response/request structures before they reach production.
Develop scalable Playwright or Cypress automation suites.
Build authentication, authorization and multi-tenant test fixtures.
Ensure strong test isolation between different tenants.
Develop role-based end-to-end testing for complete business workflows.
Automate journeys involving multiple user roles, such as:
- Author and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and configure quality gates that can block merges/releases.
- Investigate silent failures where a successful HTTP response does not necessarily indicate a successful business outcome.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Strong production-level TypeScript experience.
- Strong production-level C# experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale automated test suites.
- Experience with authentication and authorization testing.
- Strong understanding of test isolation and test data management.
- Strong API testing experience.
- Experience with API contract testing using
- Understanding of consumer/provider contracts and API versioning.
- Ability to identify breaking API changes before deployment.
- Strong GitLab CI/CD experience.
- Experience authoring GitLab pipelines from scratch.
- Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong focus on testing actual business outcomes rather than simply checking HTTP status codes.
- High proficiency in English.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Work Mode: Full Time Remote
Working Days & Timings: Sun to Thurs 10am to 6pm PKT
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
