We are seeking a dependable, motivated Self Pay Representative to support multiple healthcare facilities with inbound and outbound patient account recovery. In this role, you will answer billing questions, help patients resolve outstanding balances, identify appropriate payment solutions, and work confidently across multiple client systems and workflows.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, communicates comfortably about financial obligations, and pairs customer service with a consistent focus on account resolution and recovery.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Respond to patient billing inquiries by telephone, process payments, establish payment plans, and address patient concerns.
• Submit patient account concerns and updated insurance information to Client Services or the insurance team so the appropriate team can investigate and resolve the issue.
• Document each patient interaction accurately in the patient's account, including the inquiry or complaint, information provided, payment activity, and any follow-up action taken.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
• Use a service-oriented approach to address patient concerns and resolve billing-related grievances professionally.
• Proficient computer and 10-key skills with the ability to learn new software.
• Ability to talk and type simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail
• Possess knowledge of medical billing and how to read an explanation of benefits (EOB).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of customer service experience required.
