Senior Account Manager – Healthcare IT Staffing & Solutions
Full-time | Remote or Hybrid (Bloomfield Hills, MI)
$85,000-$100,000 + uncapped commissions , Target 1st year earnings $125,000-$150,000
Are you an experienced Account Manager in IT staffing, technology consulting, or healthcare technology who wants more ownership of your client relationships and greater opportunity to grow your business?
Walker Healthforce is expanding our Client Partnerships team and is looking for a Senior Account Manager to develop and grow strategic healthcare client relationships.
This is not simply an account maintenance role. You will own client relationships, identify new revenue opportunities, expand Walker Healthforce’s presence within existing accounts, and work directly with our Recruiting and Delivery teams to bring technology and workforce solutions to our clients.
If you enjoy building relationships, solving client challenges, developing new business, and seeing the direct impact of your work, we'd like to talk with you.
What You’ll Own
- Develop and execute strategic account plans designed to grow revenue and expand Walker Healthforce’s footprint within assigned clients.
- Build relationships with new stakeholders and decision-makers within existing client organizations.
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, research, outbound outreach, and strategic relationship development.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
- Meet regularly with client leaders to understand technology, workforce, and business priorities and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Partner with Recruiting and Delivery teams to ensure client needs are understood and solutions are delivered with urgency.
- Manage and grow a pipeline of opportunities and maintain accurate activity within Bullhorn CRM.
- Lead client presentations, capability discussions, and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Monitor account performance, identify trends, and use data to support client recommendations and growth strategies.
- Work with client procurement teams on requirements, purchase orders, Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), contract extensions, and related commercial matters.
- Support and lead RFP responses in partnership with internal subject matter experts and leadership.
- Identify opportunities to expand services while maintaining competitive pricing and healthy margins.
- Proactively address client concerns, escalations, and service-delivery issues.
- Stay informed about healthcare technology, workforce trends, and emerging client needs.
What Success Looks Like
You will be successful in this role if you can:
- Grow revenue within existing client relationships.
- Develop new relationships and uncover opportunities within complex organizations.
- Build credibility with executive, operational, technology, and procurement stakeholders.
- Translate client challenges into workforce and technology solutions.
- Maintain a healthy, active sales pipeline.
- Partner effectively with recruiting and delivery teams.
- Consistently meet or exceed account growth and revenue goals.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of account management, business development, or consultative sales experience.
- Experience in IT staffing, IT consulting, technology services, healthcare IT, or workforce solutions strongly preferred.
- Proven success growing accounts and developing new business.
- Experience managing enterprise or complex client relationships.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
- Experience presenting to client stakeholders and leading business reviews.
- Comfort working with pricing, contracts, SOWs, MSAs, RFPs, and procurement processes.
- Ability to analyze account performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Experience working collaboratively with recruiting, delivery, operations, or other service teams.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant professional experience.
Why Walker Healthforce?
At Walker Healthforce, you will have the opportunity to work with established healthcare organizations while helping expand strategic client partnerships.
You’ll have the ability to:
- Own and grow meaningful client relationships.
- Work directly with healthcare and technology decision-makers.
- Sell technology staffing and workforce solutions rather than simply manage transactions.
- Partner with an experienced recruiting and delivery organization.
- Influence account strategy and business growth.
- Build deeper relationships within existing enterprise clients.
- Participate in strategic client conversations involving workforce planning, technology initiatives, pricing, contracts, and service delivery.
We are looking for someone who wants to be more than an order taker. We want a strategic Account Manager who understands how to build trust, recognize opportunities, and turn strong client relationships into long-term growth.
