Business Partner to the Finance Director & Executive Leadership Team
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly autonomous, $100 million business, backed by a UK based investment group. Operating with the independence and agility of a standalone business, this organisation offers genuine scope to influence outcomes while drawing on the stability and support of a larger global group.
Reporting to the Finance Director and partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team, this is a true "business partner" role that will engage across all parts of the business — from commercial and operational teams through to statutory reporting and compliance.
About The Role
As Senior Accountant, this is a varied role and you will take ownership of monthly financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting through the maintenance of financial models, and work hand in hand with commercial, service and operational teams to identify opportunities for increased profitability. You will also manage statutory compliance, financial statements and tax return obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and annual financial statements
- Own the month end and year end close process, including journal entries, accruals and variance analysis
- Lead annual budgeting and maintain long range financial models and scenario analyses
- Prepare monthly board and executive reporting packs, including KPI dashboards and insightful commentary
- Partner with commercial, operations and functional leaders to support pricing, profitability and investment decisions
- Identify and drive opportunities for margin improvement and cost efficiencies
- Manage statutory compliance, financial statements and tax return obligations
- Support adoption of reporting and analytics tools, including Power BI and ERP systems
- CA qualified, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance or finance business partnering
- Experience leading budgeting and forecasting within a medium to large organisation
- Advanced financial modelling skills, with exceptional Excel and Power BI capability
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Executive-level communication skills and a proven ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders
This is a genuine opportunity to step into a high impact business partnering role within an autonomous, well performing business, with direct exposure to the Finance Director and Executive Leadership Team and the backing of a global investment group.
