About the role

You’ll help consumer businesses understand what brings customers in, what keeps them coming back, and where to act next. You’ll direct AI agents through the analysis, design evaluations to test their work, and own the recommendations you bring to senior stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Turn ambiguous business questions into focused analyses, deciding what to measure and what evidence would support a decision.
• Analyze customer acquisition, retention, churn, segmentation, pricing, and campaign performance.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and recurring reports for executive and field teams, using reusable methods that adapt to different audiences.
• Apply sound statistical and causal methods, check your findings, and explain the limits of what the data supports.
• Present clear recommendations that connect the analysis to business priorities and the next action.
• Direct multiple agents in parallel to write SQL and Python, explore the data, and test competing explanations. Build evaluations with expected results and edge cases, independently reproduce critical findings, and turn verified analyses into workflows the team can rerun.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in customer or marketing analytics.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience working on modern data platforms and large transactional datasets.
• Practical knowledge of causal inference, cohort analysis, and customer segmentation.
• Business judgment: you can recognize when an analysis answers the wrong question, even if the calculations are correct.
• Curiosity about how a client's business works and the habit of checking whether results make sense in that context.
• Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders, explaining uncertainty, and constructively challenging assumptions with evidence.
• Hands-on experience directing AI agents for analysis. You can design evaluations, inspect and debug generated SQL and Python, and independently reproduce material findings.
• A disciplined approach to documentation and reproducibility, with the ability to deliver when requirements are still taking shape.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer, retail, or loyalty analytics.
• Hands-on use of Claude Code or similar agent tools for analysis, automation, or prototyping.
• Experience building repeatable workflows that combine human judgment with AI-assisted analysis.

How we work

AI agents are core to how we get work done. You'll spend a substantial part of your day running multiple agents in parallel, building tools and workflows with them, and checking what they produce. You own the result. Verify the facts, calculations, code, and claims before they go into a decision, a customer conversation, or a release.

When working with clients, take initiative within the agreed goals, scope, access permissions, and review process. Bring options and recommendations, and involve the right people before changing a customer commitment or production workflow.

• Your findings are credible, reproducible, and clear about assumptions and limitations.
• Recurring analyses and reports become easier to maintain and adapt to new questions.
