Senior Agile Business Analyst (AI / Agentic Solutions)

NeatDevs LLC is a small federal subcontractor with a long-running seat on a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program in Ashburn, VA. We are hiring a Senior Agile Business Analyst focused on AI and agentic solutions: evaluating GenAI use cases, writing requirements for AI-enabled and agentic capabilities (agent goals, tool integrations, human-in-the-loop controls), and defining acceptance criteria suited to non-deterministic AI outputs. U.S. citizenship is required (federal contract); you must be able to obtain a DHS/CBP Public Trust - an active or recent clearance shortens your start date but is not a gate. Hybrid: on-site in Ashburn, VA about one day per week, remote the rest.

What you'll do

• Identify and evaluate candidate use cases for GenAI and AI agents: business value, feasibility, data readiness, risk
• Elicit and document requirements for AI/agentic capabilities, including decision boundaries and human-in-the-loop review points
• Define acceptance criteria and evaluation approaches for non-deterministic AI outputs; support testing of AI features
• Decompose epics into features and user stories; manage backlogs in Jira and documentation in Confluence
• Partner with engineers on prompt design and grounding data; capture responsible-AI, privacy, and security requirements

Required

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DHS/CBP Public Trust; must live in the DC/MD/VA area
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
• 7+ years of business analysis / management analysis experience, including Agile requirements work
• 1+ year hands-on supporting GenAI or AI/ML initiatives (defining requirements for, testing, or deploying LLM-based features)
• Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts: agents, tool calling, RAG, human-in-the-loop controls
• Jira and Confluence proficiency; strong user story and acceptance criteria writing

Nice to have

• Google Gemini / Vertex AI exposure; agent frameworks (ADK, LangGraph)
• AI evaluation or red-teaming experience; NIST AI RMF familiarity
• DHS or federal consulting experience; CBAP, CSM, CSPO, or GCP GenAI certification

Pay and benefits

$130,000 - $149,000 per year depending on experience and clearance status. Full-time W-2 role with health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and paid federal holidays.
