Senior AI Engineer

Senior AI Engineer | Belgium | 12-Month Contract

We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Engineer to join an innovative AI team, helping take AI solutions from proof of concept through to scalable, secure production environments.

The Role

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable AI and MLOps/AIOps solutions.
• Take AI models from development into production.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and observability.
• Lead the development of agentic AI solutions using RAG, APIs, tool calling and orchestration frameworks.
• Establish best practices around AI security, governance, testing and evaluation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor colleagues and influence architectural decisions.

Key Skills & Experience

• 6+ years in software/data engineering, including 3+ years in AI/ML or MLOps engineering.
• Strong Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search and AKS.
• Strong understanding of MLOps, CI/CD, model monitoring and deployment.
• Experience with agentic AI, RAG, vector databases and LLM integrations.
• Proven technical leadership and experience taking AI solutions into production.

Contract Details

• 📍 Belgium (Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite per week)
• 📅 12-month contract - Renewable
• 🗣️ Languages: Fluent Dutch and English; basic French.
