Description

Senior Analyst – Operations Insight & Improvement

Luton | Full-time | Hybrid

20% bonus • 7% pension • Staff travel benefits

We support hybrid working, and you’ll spend 60% of your time each month in the office.

You see beyond the headline numbers, finding the operational story that helps people act.

If you enjoy testing hypotheses, getting to the root of performance challenges and turning complex analysis into clear recommendations, this is an opportunity to influence how a major airline improves reliability for its customers.

The opportunity

You’ll join our Operations Insight & Improvement team, using data to understand what drives operational performance across the network and where focused action can make the biggest difference.

Reporting to the Senior Improvements Manager, you’ll own and enhance diagnostic tools, model trends and identify root causes affecting on-time performance and flying completion. Your insight will help shape practical improvement plans and support better operational decisions.

“This role is for someone who is curious enough to keep asking why, technically strong enough to find the answer and clear enough to turn it into a story people can act on. Your insight will help us focus improvement where it matters most for our operation and our customers.”
Senior Improvement Manager

The team & culture

The Operations Insight & Improvement team plays a central role in easyJet’s operational strategy and delivery. You’ll work closely with operational leaders, IT, departmental analytics teams and our Data Science & Analytics Centre of Excellence.

It’s a collaborative, fast-moving environment where curiosity matters. You’ll be encouraged to challenge assumptions, share knowledge and create clear, trusted analysis that colleagues can use with confidence.

Requirements of the Role

What you’ll be doing

You’ll identify and extract the right information, then build and enhance operational health models that explain the drivers behind key measures, including on-time performance and completion rate.

You’ll review trends, model projections and test hypotheses to uncover emerging challenges, root causes and practical ways to reduce disruption.

You’ll provide timely insight to senior operational stakeholders through regular reporting and focused diagnostic deep-dives, using clear visualisation and storytelling to turn analysis into action.

You’ll develop dashboards that create a consistent view of strategic and tactical performance, while recommending tools, capabilities and good practice that strengthen analytics across Operations.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience in data and analytics, with a strong track record of turning complexdata into clear, actionable insights that identify improvement opportunities, support decision-making and drive better business performance.

SQL experience is essential, alongside experience with a scripting language such as Python or R and excellent Excel skills. You’ll also understand statistical techniques such as time-series analysis, multivariate analysis and forecasting.

You may have used visualisation tools such as Tableau, Think-cell, ThoughtSpot or Power BI. More importantly, you can understand stakeholder needs, build a clear case for action and explain your analysis credibly to different audiences.

What you’ll get

>Competitive base salary + up to 20% bonus

>7% employer pension contribution

>Private medical insurance

>25 days holiday + bank holidays

>Annual credit towards an easyJet holiday

>Excellent staff travel benefits

>Flexible benefits package including share schemes
