Show job description

Alignment Health is breaking the mold in conventional health care, committed to serving seniors and those who need it most: the chronically ill and frail. It takes an entire team of passionate and caring people, united in our mission to put the senior first. We have built a team of talented and experienced people who are passionate about transforming the lives of the seniors we serve. In this fast-growing company, you will find ample room for growth and innovation alongside the Alignment Health community. Working at Alignment Health provides an opportunity to do work that really matters, not only changing lives but saving them. Together.

Alignment Healthcare is advancing a multi-year finance transformation program to build scalable enterprise capabilities across accounting, close, consolidation, reconciliation, planning, reporting, and analytics on standard Oracle Cloud: Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, and Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI).

Reporting into Technology and partnering closely with Corporate Accounting, this techno-functional role owns Oracle Fusion Financials (General Ledger, Accounting Hub, Intercompany, Payables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Project Costing, and Risk Management Cloud), supports Oracle ARCS, and ensures GL and intercompany data flow accurately into FCCS for consolidation. The role combines functional configuration with hands-on technical ownership of the platform.

This techno-functional role partners with our system integrator during implementation, then owns ongoing operations and enhancements after go-live.

Why the Role Matters

In a Medicare Advantage organization, the stakes of period-close accuracy are uniquely high, from medical cost accruals and risk adjustment entries to intercompany eliminations across plan entities. This makes the role essential to both our financial integrity and our ability to meet regulatory reporting deadlines with confidence.

Working Arrangements

  • Senior individual contributor with no direct reports; mentors junior analysts and represents Alignment Healthcare with the SI and other partners.
  • On-call rotation for critical system issues, with elevated availability during the Day 1–5 monthly close, quarter-end, and year-end.
  • Availability for cutover and go-live weekends, hypercare, and Oracle quarterly update weekends.

Job Requirements

Experience

Required:

  • 7+ years supporting Oracle Financials, including 4+ years in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials (not EBS only)
  • 2+ years of hands-on Accounting Hub / Subledger Accounting configuration, including accounting for non-Oracle source systems
  • Hands-on experience in at least three of: Payables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, Project Costing, Risk Management Cloud
  • Advanced Smart View, OTBI, and BIP proficiency
  • Hands-on technical experience in Oracle Fusion, including security roles and provisioning, integration and data-file troubleshooting (FBDI, REST, OIC), BIP/OTBI development, approval workflows and extensions, scheduled process management, and environment refresh and quarterly update management
  • Sufficient understanding of ARCS to support the solution rolled out at go-live
  • Knowledge of FCCS, and the GL-to-FCCS integration
  • At least two full-lifecycle Oracle Fusion Financials implementations or major upgrades
  • Strong understanding of the accounting principles and experience with SOX, SoD, and HIPAA in a regulated healthcare, insurance, or financial services environment

Preferred:

  • Experience on SI-led Oracle Cloud implementation through hypercare and transition to support
  • Medicare Advantage or managed care accounting (claims, IBNR, premium, risk adjustment, capitation), including onboarding healthcare source systems into Accounting Hub

  • Oracle certifications: General Ledger, Account Reconciliation, or Financial Consolidation and Close Implementation Professional

Training

Required:

  • Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials GL module through formal implementation or sustained production support experience
  • Working knowledge of FBDI and ADFdi for bulk GL data loads and sub-ledger integrations

Preferred:

  • Oracle Financials Cloud: General Ledger Implementation Professional certification (required per manager's draft; strongly preferred minimum)
  • Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close certification
  • Oracle Cloud Platform Application Integration Specialist certification
