Dream is looking for a Senior Analyst, Asset & Portfolio Management

We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our thriving community. Dream Impact Trust is currently looking for a Senior Analyst to assist with asset management and portfolio management responsibilities. The Senior Analyst will report to the Associate Director, Portfolio Management.

Our ideal candidate possesses a strong financial modeling/technical background, real estate and business writing. Additionally, we are looking for someone who has strong attention to detail, can synthesize large amounts of information and is well organized. This role offers room for growth and increasing responsibility over time.

Who are you?

Dream Impact Trust is a real estate impact investing vehicle that targets projects that create positive and lasting impacts on communities and the environment, while achieving market returns. It provides investors with access to an exceptional portfolio of real estate development and income properties that would not be otherwise available in a public and fully transparent vehicle, managed by an experienced team with a successful track record in these areas.

With our enhanced focus on impact investing, we are aligning all of our efforts around our core mission — building better communities for people to live, work, and play in — which will result in a better investment for our unitholders.

What will you do?

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:

  • Be involved in project analysis, asset management and other investment and portfolio initiatives.
  • Support the process for updating quarterly IFRS asset valuations for the investment portfolio and annual 3rd party appraisals.
  • Participate in operational update meetings, track operational activities, and conduct industry research.
  • Act as an information and analysis resource to all levels of the organization, including senior management and senior accounting personnel.
  • Co-ordinate with partners on investments, analyze pro formas relating to income properties and development projects and perform variance analysis as needed.
  • Track/monitor investment performance and prepare reporting materials for management.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly board meeting materials, investor presentations, analysis related to the corporate model and the annual business plan.

What type of experience should you have?

These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:

  • 2-4 years of applicable work experience: asset management, valuations, corporate finance/transaction advisory, or financial analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or real estate. Enrolled in or completed the following programs is considered a plus (CFA/CBV/CPA).
  • Strong technical skills with a focus on financial analysis and data manipulation using Excel.
  • An assertive self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization is required.
  • Superior interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
