Job Requisition ID: 95297
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
Role Overview
As a Senior Associate, Technical Product Owner on the Institutional Life Illustration & Policy Administration Systems team, you will support technology enhancements and business processes for Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI), Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI), and Corporate Sponsored markets. Partnering with Product Managers, business SMEs, technology teams, and vendors, you will translate business needs into actionable requirements, support SAFe Agile and hybrid delivery, and ensure reliable data flows to downstream systems. Your work will improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance the end-user experience.
What You’ll Do
- Translate Product Manager priorities and agile epics into use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed requirements, considering business processes, downstream data needs, and vendor timelines.
- Partner with end-users, SMEs, and technology teams to document processes, identify feature requirements, and incorporate quality findings and compliance directives into improvements that increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Maintain and refine the product backlog according to business priorities; support intake, sprint planning, PI planning, and coordination of development, testing, maintenance, and vendor activities.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions, communicate delivery progress and dependencies, review UAT results and defects, coordinate issue resolution, and support business sign-off and production readiness.
- Support feature adoption and platform operations through release communications, demonstrations, training, documentation reviews, and production issue investigation and escalation.
What You’ll Bring
You bring practical Product Owner experience, analytical judgment, and the ability to translate complex business processes into actionable requirements. Highly organized and accountable, you manage competing priorities, communicate delivery trade-offs, and collaborate across business and technology teams. You navigate ambiguity within established processes, quickly learn new systems, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and user experience.
Required Skills
- Experience with Product Owner responsibilities, including requirements definition, user stories, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience coordinating technology delivery across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies, including third-party vendor dependencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business processes and technical issues.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, listening, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, accountability, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Experience with Jira or similar tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAFe Agile practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and PI planning.
- Familiarity with policy administration systems such as Adastar or Cyberlife and illustration platforms such as Ascent.
- Knowledge of life insurance products and institutional markets, including BOLI and COLI.
- Experience supporting UAT, production release readiness, and downstream system data requirements.
