About the role

Through 🔮sfera, we’re hiring on behalf of growing product companies that are expanding their in-house engineering teams. We’re looking for Backend Engineers who have built real products, not just services, and who are comfortable owning problems from idea to production.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and ship backend systems and APIs that power SaaS products (B2B and B2C).
• Work hands-on across the stack of the team: you write code, review code and raise the bar.
• Partner closely with product and design to turn ideas into features that users actually use.
• Make smart technical decisions about architecture, scalability, reliability and cost.
• Use AI as part of your daily workflow, and help the team build AI-powered features.
• For lead profiles: mentor other engineers and help shape how the team builds.

What we’re looking for

• Senior or lead level experience building backend systems in production.
• Strong in at least one of: Java, Go, Python or Node.js, and open to working with others.
• A product engineer mindset: you care about the user, the business impact and the trade-offs, not only the ticket.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS or consumer products, B2B, B2C or both.
• An AI-first approach: you use tools like LLM coding assistants every day, and you have experience (or strong curiosity) building with LLMs, APIs and automation.
• Solid foundations: APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, testing and observability.
• Clear communication in English and a habit of working autonomously in a remote or hybrid team.

Nice to have

• Experience in early-stage or fast-growing product teams.
• Experience with mobile-first products or fintech.
• Experience building or integrating AI features in production.
