About The Role We’re looking for a seasoned and passionate engineering leader interested in joining our early-stage venture as full-time back-end engineering lead. In this role, you will build and maintain our product’s backend services, APIs, and deployment, for our global health tech mobile platform. Manage a senior team with engineers who have 10+ years of experience in software development, interacting with senior leaders and managing expectations. Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to clean coding standards and design principles. Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance microservices-based architectures. Architect and implement agentic AI workflows and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems to drive personalized user interactions and automated coaching features. Oversee the data pipelines and infrastructure required for real-time AI model inference, ensuring high-performance and low-latency integration within a microservices-based environment. Collaborate related stakeholders to align on requirements and delivery timelines. Optimize application performance, monitor system reliability, and troubleshoot issues proactively. Advocate for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and robust version control strategies. Document key architectural decisions, APIs, and processes for internal use. What You’ll Need Proven Experience: 8+ years of professional backend development experience, with 3+ years in a lead role. Programming Languages: Expertise in Node.js, Javascript, TypeScript and Python. Have experiences with statically typed languages (e.g, JAVA / GO / .NET) is a plus Microservices Architecture: Strong experience in building and managing microservices at scale. Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, or similar. Databases: Proficiency in both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g, MongoDB, Firestore) databases. API Development: Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL. DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
