  • Review sample shipment documentation, including packaging records, transport conditions, and temperature monitoring evidence.
  • Support the documentation review of biological sample transfers between laboratories, research sites, biobanks, and authorized service providers.
  • Assess deviations, non-conformances, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) records related to sample management.
  • Maintain digital audit trails and support inspection readiness through organized and controlled sample documentation.
  • Prepare reports on sample inventory status, storage capacity, traceability performance, documentation quality, and outstanding issues.
  • Support data integrity reviews and recommend improvements to electronic sample management controls.
  • Contribute to risk assessments covering sample traceability, confidentiality, storage documentation, and operational continuity.
  • Assist with research study documentation reviews and sample reconciliation activities.
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen sample governance, data quality, and coordination across research and laboratory teams.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Laboratory Science, or a related discipline.
  • A postgraduate qualification in biobanking, clinical research, laboratory management, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Typically 5–8 years of experience in biological sample management, biobanking, clinical research operations, laboratory quality, or specimen documentation.
  • Strong understanding of biological sample lifecycle management and traceability requirements.
  • Familiarity with human biological samples, including blood, tissue, serum, plasma, DNA, RNA, and other research specimens.
  • Knowledge of sample identification, labeling, inventory management, chain of custody, and retention controls.
  • Experience using LIMS, electronic sample tracking platforms, biobank databases, and document management systems.
  • Understanding of applicable GCP, GLP, biosafety, and biobanking quality principles.
  • Familiarity with sample storage documentation, temperature monitoring records, transport requirements, and excursion management.
