Become part of the ORBIS group!
Innovative spirit and confidence in the abilities of each individual are the driving forces that have allowed ORBIS to operate successfully in the market for over 40 years and to grow steadily.
Do you think in terms of business processes and key performance indicators, and do you know which data really helps companies move forward? Would you like to work with business departments to identify analytics and AI use cases that create real added value, and implement them using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI? In your role as Senior Business Consultant Data & Analytics – Microsoft Fabric (m/f/x), you’ll act as the bridge between business departments and the technical side. You analyse our clients’ business processes and management requirements and translate them into key performance indicator systems, domain-specific data models and data products. You oversee their implementation from the initial use-case idea right through to productive use in day-to-day operations. You work on projects relating to business analytics, KPI and reporting concepts, data governance and AI – using Microsoft Fabric, Semantic Models and Power BI. In doing so, you’ll link process data from ERP and CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP with production and machine data. You’ll ensure that insights gained through alerts, automations or AI agents feed back into the operational process. You’ll shape the technical implementation in collaboration with our data engineering team and our experts in process consultancy, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform and ERP applications. You will facilitate workshops with specialist departments and management, and prioritise use cases based on business value and feasibility. Based on this, you will develop roadmaps for Data & Analytics and empower the relevant key users during the roll-out. You will also provide support with pre-sales activities, effort estimates and the further development of our Microsoft Fabric portfolio.
What else your Microsoft job offers you:
- An innovative, forward-looking working environment with exciting national and international projects
- State-of-the-art technologies relating to Microsoft Fabric, Data & AI
- The opportunity to take on responsibility quickly, with plenty of creative freedom and autonomy
- Personalised opportunities for personal and professional development and certification
- Flexible working hours and the option to work remotely
- A motivated team with flat hierarchies and an open corporate culture
- Additional benefits, e.g. a company pension scheme, staff loans, a company bike scheme, job ticket and more
Your profile:
- Several years’ consultancy experience in the fields of data & analytics, business intelligence or business process optimisation
- Understanding of end-to-end business processes (e.g. order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, service or production) and how they are mapped in ERP and CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SAP
- Experience in designing key performance indicator (KPI) systems, reporting and control logic, as well as domain-specific data models
- Strong knowledge of Power BI and Semantic Models, as well as practical experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Technical understanding of data integration, SQL and modern data architectures (e.g. OneLake, Lakehouse, data pipelines)
- Experience with data governance from a business perspective, particularly data quality, data ownership and master data
- Experience in requirements gathering, prioritising use cases and preparing business cases
- Confident presentation skills in workshops and experience in empowering key users
- Ideally, industry experience, e.g. in manufacturing, the automotive sector or the steel industry, as well as experience with process mining or AI scenarios such as Fabric Data Agents and Fabric IQ
- Analytical thinking, a structured and independent approach to work, as well as a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
