You are an experienced business leader who can bring clarity to complexity, strengthen executive decision-making and help translate Sydney Metro priorities into action.
In this role you’ll
- Provide strategic business and operational leadership to the Sydney Metro Head of Project Delivery serving as a trusted adviser through sound judgement and proactive problem-solving.
- Lead business planning, performance reporting and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and delivery objectives.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives and leaders across Sydney Metro, Transport for NSW, government and key external stakeholders to influence outcomes and support divisional priorities.
- Collaborate with various teams to resolve complex issues, manage risk and maintain alignment across competing priorities.
- Drive governance, risk and assurance activities to strengthen decision-making, accountability and operational excellence.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and performance monitoring across key business activities.
- Prepare high-quality executive briefings, submissions and reports that inform strategic decisions and stakeholder outcomes.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team, creating an environment where people can thrive and deliver exceptional results.

About You
You are an experienced business leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, governance and delivery.
You bring strong commercial and financial acumen, exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Known for your sound judgement and influence, you confidently navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems and drive results.
Collaborative and strategic, you bring people and priorities together, lead initiatives and manage competing demands while maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement and delivery.
Experience within a major project delivery and/or construction environment will be highly regarded, as will experience in a similar role within government.
