💼 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite at the Brussels HQ

⏰ Work Regime: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Languages: Dutch Native or French Native and English (Must have)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) to design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure for a new platform connecting cloud services with physical lockers. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS expertise, excellent Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, and the ability to independently own cloud infrastructure projects.

🔑 Mandatory Skills & Requirements

• AWS Cloud: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly networking, security, scalability, and high availability.
• Terraform / IaC: Strong experience designing, building, and managing infrastructure using Terraform.
• Relevant Experience: 5+ years in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or DevOps.
• Offshore Candidates: Minimum 10+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, Infrastructure, and Platform Engineering.
• Monitoring & Observability: Practical experience with Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, or similar tools.
• CI/CD: Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python and Bash.
• Version Control: Strong working knowledge of Git.
• Autonomy: Proven ability to independently manage projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and take end-to-end ownership.
• Availability: Must be available to start ASAP and work onsite in Brussels 2–3 days per week.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and scale secure, reliable AWS cloud architecture using Terraform.
• Own the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle of the new platform.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and maintain high availability.
• Improve CI/CD workflows and automate operational tasks.
• Manage cloud security, compliance, patching, and cost optimization.
• Support integration between central cloud services and physical, on-site lockers.
• Collaborate with development teams and maintain clear technical documentation.

⭐ Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Kafka or other event-streaming platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Amazon ECS.
• AWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
