We are seeking an experienced Senior Compensation Consultant to play a key role in designing, administering, and optimizing compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This individual will partner closely with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and business leaders to provide market-informed compensation recommendations, maintain salary structures, support pay equity initiatives, and ensure compliance with applicable compensation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Administration
- Lead compensation benchmarking and market pricing activities.
- Develop and maintain salary structures, pay ranges, and compensation frameworks.
- Conduct job evaluations and recommend appropriate compensation levels.
- Review and provide guidance on salary offers, promotions, transfers, and market adjustments.
- Support annual compensation planning activities, including merit increases, bonuses, and promotional reviews.
- Participate in job architecture and organizational design initiatives.
Market Analysis & Reporting
- Participate in compensation surveys and analyze external market data.
- Conduct market research and evaluate compensation trends.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and compensation analyses.
- Perform pay equity and internal equity studies and make recommendations.
- Present compensation insights and workforce data to stakeholders.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation regulations.
- Maintain compensation data integrity within HR systems.
- Support compliance efforts related to pay transparency and wage laws.
Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on compensation matters.
- Educate managers regarding salary structures, compensation policies, and pay practices.
- Assist with compensation projects, workforce planning, and organizational initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of compensation experience.
- Experience conducting market pricing, salary administration, and compensation analyses.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
- Experience utilizing HRIS platforms and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Mercer and Payscale compensation tools.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification or progress toward certification.
- Experience supporting pay equity initiatives and workforce analytics.
- Knowledge of sales compensation programs.
