Senior Compliance Officer
Job Summary
As a Senior Compliance Officer at DECA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs that align with the central bank's regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Legal Compliance
Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations issued by Bank Indonesia (BI), PPATK and other relevant authorities.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations, products, and technology.
Interpret laws and regulations and translate them into internal policies, procedures, and controls.
Ensure compliance with AML/CFT, KYC, consumer protection, data privacy (UU PDP), and fintech-specific regulations.
Regulatory Communication & Liaison
Act as the primary point of contact for regulators and government authorities.
Manage regulatory correspondence, inquiries, inspections, audits, and examinations.
Coordinate and prepare responses to regulatory findings, recommendations, and remediation plans.
Support regulatory licensing, registration, renewal, and reporting requirements.
Policy, Governance & Internal Controls
Develop, review, and maintain compliance policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
Ensure policies align with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
Conduct compliance risk assessments and gap analyses.
Oversee implementation of compliance controls across business, operations, product, and technology teams.
Monitoring, Reporting & Advisory
Conduct periodic compliance monitoring and testing.
Prepare compliance reports for management, Board of Directors, and regulators.
Provide compliance advice and guidance to business teams during product development, partnerships, and new initiatives.
Escalate compliance risks, breaches, or incidents appropriately and manage corrective actions.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Experience
5+ years of experience in compliance, risk, legal, or regulatory roles
Strong experience in fintech, banking, e-money, payment systems, lending, or financial services
Proven experience dealing directly with BI, PPATK, or other Indonesian regulators
Experience supporting regulatory audits, inspections, or licensing processes
Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of Indonesian financial regulations, including: AML/CFT & KYC, consumer protection, data privacy & cybersecurity, payment systems / digital finance regulations
Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them pragmatically
Strong written and verbal communication skills (Bahasa Indonesia & English)
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple regulatory priorities
