Your responsibilities

• Advise banks and asset managers on regulatory, strategic, and organizational compliance matters, translating evolving requirements into practical recommendations.
• Independently deliver defined client workstreams that support compliance functions in implementing and maintaining requirements under frameworks such as MAR, MiFID II/MiFIR, WpHG, MiCAR, and KWG/MaRisk.
• Develop and enhance governance structures, compliance risk assessments, monitoring plans, and control frameworks. Identify gaps, clarify responsibilities, and turn findings into actionable improvements.
• Build long-lasting client relationships through reliable advice and clear communication. Present your findings and contribute your expertise to workshops and training sessions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and emerging technologies such as RegTech, blockchain, and AI. Assess their relevance for clients and help translate insights into practical solutions.

Your ticket

• Your educational foundation is a degree in Law, Business Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree, LL.M., or relevant professional certification is a plus; a CCP or CFA qualification is particularly valuable for capital markets work.
• You bring 2-4 years of directly relevant experience in financial services compliance or regulatory consulting, gained at a bank, asset manager, consultancy, or audit firm. You have already taken ownership of defined project deliverables.
• You can apply at least one of the following frameworks confidently in client work: MAR, MiFID II/MiFIR, WpHG, or KWG/MaRisk. Knowledge of MiCAR, DORA, or the EU AI Act is a plus.
• You understand the role of the compliance function and can distinguish its advisory and monitoring responsibilities from controls owned by the first line of defense.
• You communicate confidently and precisely in German and English, making complex regulatory topics understandable for different stakeholders including senior management.
• You tackle complex challenges with a structured, forward-thinking, and solution-oriented approach, turning regulatory requirements into clear and audit-proof recommendations.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and comfortable using approved AI tools responsibly and in line with client confidentiality requirements.
• You bring an entrepreneurial mindset, intercultural awareness, a great sense of humor and a hands-on approach. You enjoy working as part of a team and are willing to work on site with clients.
