We’re a digital insurance provider with ambitious plans to become the best and biggest in the UK market. We’ve made huge investments in our pricing and data capabilities over the past few years, along with nurturing our 4Cs culture.
We provide insurance for over four million customers, but we know there’s even bigger opportunity out there – our Pricing, Data and Analytics community value curiosity, collaboration and constructive challenge.
We are always looking for new ideas and diverse perspectives to question established thinking and drive meaningful change. Great pricing is built on trust, innovation and precision, so our aim is to ensure customers receive a fair and accurate price based on their individual risk, supporting fair outcomes, while delivering sustainable and profitable growth for our company.

We are looking for a curious and proactive Senior Analyst who can bring structure to complex problems, coordinate activity across teams and translate detailed and highly specific analysis clearly to technical and business stakeholders. Someone who is able to take ownership right the way through from initial ideas, analysis and implementation, to post-live validation.
You will also be responsible for collaborating with developers in different areas of Hastings to build and embed new tools into the pricing team, helping analysts adopt them effectively and strengthening capability within the wider YouDrive analytics team.
Hastings has a Pricing, Data and Analytics community of 200+ individuals with a huge breadth and depth of expertise. You’ll have the opportunity to lead meaningful change, strengthen the analytical capability of our team and shape the future of YouDrive pricing.
Job details:
- Investigate and lead on the resolution of complex pricing issues, incidents and complaints.
- Build and enhance tooling that support pricing analysis, validation and decision-making.
- Collaborate with developers to embed new tooling into the pricing team.
- Communicate complex findings clearly across technical and business audiences.

- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Experience in data investigations and root-cause analysis.
- Proven end-to-end delivery of projects and investigations.
- Experience supporting and developing junior analysts.
- Experience of UK insurance, motor or general would be advantageous.
