Senior Data Business Analyst

Luxoft DXC Technology Company is an established company focusing on consulting and implementation of complex projects in the financial and Insurance industry. Together with the customer, we deliver top performance! For a key client in the Insurance sector, we are seeking a hands-on Data Analyst to work closely with platform teams, Data Architecture, Data Modelling, and Engineering teams. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between business requirements and technical specifications. You will be responsible for extracting and characterizing data, executing detailed source-to-target mappings, and supporting the design and development of robust data products and reporting solutions. A primary focus of this engagement involves building a Single Customer View (SCV), requiring practical experience with Master Data Management (MDM), survivorship, data enrichment, and mapping from multiple source systems onto a common customer data model.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Source Characterization: Analyze complex data sources received from Business Analysts and business stakeholders; extract and characterize source data to inform data product design.
• Source-to-Target Mapping (STM): Work alongside Data Modellers and target Data Engineering teams to define, construct, and document comprehensive source-to-target mappings aligned with enterprise data standards.
• Single Customer View & MDM Support: Apply hands-on knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, data survivorship rules, data enrichment, and customer data modeling to integrate data across multiple disparate systems.
• Requirements & Spec Translation: Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into clear data product definitions, transformation logic, and technical specifications.
• Data Product & Reporting Support: Support the end-to-end design and delivery of data products and reporting solutions by developing a deep understanding of core datasets and underlying data models.
• Quality & Governance: Drive continuous improvement in data quality, data documentation, testing, and governance to ensure data deliverables yield reliable, actionable insights.

SKILLS

Must have

• Data Analysis & Modeling: Proven track record in data analysis, data profiling, source system analysis, and complex source-to-target mapping.
• Master Data Management (MDM): Practical exposure to MDM practices, data survivorship logic, data enrichment, and multi-source consolidation into a Single Customer View (SCV).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders (BAs, POs) and technical engineering teams (Data Modellers, Data Engineers, Architects).
• Data Standards & Governance: Experience mapping and conforming data attributes to corporate data standards and enterprise models.
• SDLC & Quality Assurance: Experience contributing to data product testing, data quality checks, and clear technical documentation within an agile delivery environment.

Nice to have

• Technical Tooling: Hands-on experience with SQL or Python for extracting, querying, and verifying source data to support engineering handoffs.
• Domain Experience: Prior experience working in Insurance or Financial Services platform environments.
