Senior Data Scientist, Causal Inference and Experimentation
Location: Remote (Chile) | Type: Contract | Experience: 5+ years | Pay: $20-$40/hr
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Data Scientist to measure what marketing campaigns actually cause. You'll apply causal inference and experimentation methods to quantify incrementality and uplift, then turn it into recurring readouts that stakeholders rely on.
This is an 8-week, fully remote contract with potential extension to 16 weeks, with the data science and machine learning team at a crafts-based digital product studio backed by a global strategy consulting parent. Spanish is preferred.
If you can tell a marketing leader the difference between what a campaign caused and what just happened after it ran, and explain why, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
- Apply causal methods including difference-in-differences, propensity matching, uplift and CATE modeling, and Double Machine Learning
- Design and evaluate A/B tests, holdout groups, and power calculations
- Measure incrementality and uplift for marketing campaigns
- Produce recurring incrementality readouts and walk stakeholders through what they mean
Qualifications
- Senior-level causal inference experience across the methods above
- Strong experimentation design background: A/B tests, holdouts, power analysis, incrementality
- Strong Python and SQL
- Experience with EconML, DoWhy, statsmodels, or equivalent libraries
- Track record measuring the causal impact of marketing campaigns
- Spanish preferred
Why Join Us
You'll be part of a senior analytics team doing work that directly shapes how an enterprise spends its marketing budget. The studio values clear communication as much as technical depth, so people who can explain their findings plainly do especially well.
