About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Demand Signal Modeling Specialist to develop, validate, and optimize analytical models that identify, interpret, and forecast demand patterns across products, services, and markets. The successful candidate will combine statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data integration techniques to transform internal and external demand indicators into reliable forecasts and actionable business insights. This fully remote role supports strategic planning, inventory optimization, supply chain decisions, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain statistical and machine learning models to identify and forecast demand signals.
• Analyze historical sales, customer behavior, market trends, pricing, promotional activity, and other demand drivers.
• Integrate internal business data with relevant external indicators to improve demand visibility.
• Identify leading and lagging indicators that influence demand fluctuations.
• Apply time-series analysis, regression techniques, causal modeling, and predictive algorithms.
• Develop demand sensing models that incorporate near-real-time data and changing market conditions.
• Evaluate seasonality, trend shifts, market volatility, and exceptional demand patterns.
• Perform data cleansing, feature engineering, and signal transformation to improve model reliability.
• Validate model accuracy using appropriate forecasting and statistical performance metrics.
• Identify data anomalies, structural breaks, bias, and potential sources of forecast error.
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess alternative demand conditions.
• Monitor model performance and recalibrate methodologies as new data becomes available.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, sales, finance, marketing, and data engineering teams.
• Translate model outputs into recommendations for inventory planning, resource allocation, and commercial strategy.
• Develop dashboards, analytical reports, and visualizations to communicate demand insights.
• Maintain documentation covering data sources, modeling assumptions, validation procedures, and model limitations.
• Recommend improvements to demand data pipelines, forecasting processes, and analytical governance standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Significant professional experience in demand forecasting, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, or supply chain analytics.
• Strong understanding of time-series forecasting, regression analysis, statistical inference, and machine learning.
• Practical experience developing demand prediction or demand sensing models.
• Proficiency in Python or R and relevant statistical modeling libraries.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Knowledge of demand drivers, seasonality, market indicators, and customer purchasing behavior.
• Experience with model validation, forecast accuracy measurement, and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with business intelligence, data visualization, and analytical reporting tools.
• Understanding of supply chain planning, inventory management, and commercial forecasting processes.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple analytical projects independently in a fully remote environment.
