Main Purpose and Scope of Job:

We are looking to hire someone with a talent for design, a keen eye for detail, and a love of collaboration. As a Senior Designer, you’ll work closely with the Creative Team and wider Marketing department to develop visually compelling creative assets that align with campaign goals and our brand identity. Reporting to the Digital Design Manager, you’ll lead projects contributing to the NRLA visual identity and user experience, and shape the vision of our campaigns. From concept to delivery, you’ll ensure all creative reflects our confident, respected brand while optimising designs based on performance across platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior designer who’s passionate about in-house branding and creating engaging, high-performing visuals for digital and print. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how our brand is represented on our website, at our events, and on paid and organic social, helping us drive awareness, engagement, and conversions through impactful design.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the marketing team in developing brand strategies and creative concepts.
  • Design high-quality, on-brand assets for digital and print.
  • Create internal and external presentations, decks, and marketing materials.
  • Lead on web design projects, including UI layouts, wireframes, and mock-ups, to support the UX, product and development teams.
  • Lead project communication from initial concept through to final delivery, incorporating feedback and providing steer and design input into creative decisions.
  • Support UX-focused design work to improve usability and user experience.
  • Design and produce static and motion-based creatives for paid social, organic social, OOH and display (e.g. Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram).
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other internal teams across the business to align creative strategy with campaign objectives and insights.
  • Ensure all creative outputs are on-brand, consistent, and adhere to design and platform best practices.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, platform updates, and performance marketing best practices.
  • Continuously refine and optimise designs based on data-driven feedback (CTR, conversions, engagement rates).
  • Build trust and rapport with colleagues outside of the marketing team as a creative team liaison.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Ability to interpret briefs and translate brand guidelines into engaging designs that capture attention and drive results.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Designer, ideally within a digital or UX environment.
  • Strong understanding of design principles — typography, layout, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience designing for multiple digital platforms, understanding specifications and performance nuances.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to maintain and develop brand guidelines and design systems as we continue to evolve the NRLA brand and products.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills — confident working within a fast-paced marketing environment and leading communications throughout the creative process, keeping stakeholders informed and prioritising tasks effectively.

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional design experience (agency or in-house)
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma
  • Experience leading design projects from outset through to completion, managing feedback and stakeholder relationships, communicating effectively and organising and prioritising tasks.
  • A strong portfolio of both digital and print that showcases an in-depth knowledge of typography, layout, and visual design
  • An eye for current trends and aesthetic.
  • Confident leading UX/UI design and wireframing in Figma.
  • Experience using Asana or similar project management software is a bonus.
  • Animation and video or motion skills are a plus.

Only applications with an accompanying portfolio will be considered.
