At Finshape, we build digital banking that people actually use, every day, all over the world. Our solutions run in banks on three continents and are used by tens of millions of people via mobile and web.

We build complete digital banking on our own platform, Digital Bank OS, and help banks keep up with, and ideally stay ahead of, a fast-changing digital world.

Our projects are large, international, and often complex. We combine business, technology, and UX, and work closely with clients so the result makes sense, not just technically, but above all for the people who use it.

We've been in the market for more than 30 years, originally a Czech company, today part of an international group. We operate in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, France, and Singapore, and work with partners around the world.

Today Finshape has more than 600 people, roughly half of them in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We keep growing in new markets, in the number of projects, and in the technologies we work with.

At the same time, we keep an environment where people know each other, things get resolved directly, and you have a real influence on how things work, not just within your team, but across the company.

SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER

We're expanding our DevOps team as the number and complexity of our projects grows, and we're looking for a new colleague to help us take our solutions further.

You'll work with our Technical Support team, led by our CTO. The team has 6 people in total; you'll be part of a smaller DevOps group alongside two other senior colleagues.

We work mostly remote, meeting in the office a few times a week.

We'd love for you to start as soon as possible. You don't need to know everything: we're happy to help you with less critical technologies. We do expect senior-level knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift, though.

As for personality, we're mainly looking for enthusiasm, willingness, and a helpful attitude. We value trust and reliability.

HOW THE DEVOPS TEAM WORKS

■ Work needs to get done; where you do it from is up to you (flexibility)

■ We help developers automate the build and deployment of applications (CI/CD)

■ We maintain runtime environments (mainly on-prem Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, plus Azure AKS and AWS EKS)

■ We take care of application operations and monitoring

■ Most of us used to be developers ourselves

We want to keep improving how we run containerized solutions. As part of the DevOps team, you'll get involved in:

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

■ Automating CI/CD processes for our applications (Java / Spring Boot, JavaScript / React + Next.js), specifically:

▪ Continuous Integration (CI), including building applications and dockerizing them (Jenkins)

▪ Continuous Deployment (CD), deploying to Kubernetes / OpenShift (Terraform + Jenkins)

■ Monitoring and logging applications

■ Identifying weak points in CI/CD processes and automating them

■ Independent development projects as well as ad-hoc support for product and project teams

WHAT YOU NEED TO HANDLE ROUTINELY

■ Kubernetes or OpenShift (mainly from an application deployment and operations perspective)

■ Containerizing applications (Docker / Podman, Dockerfile)

■ Git

■ Linux, Bash

■ Basic understanding of networking, protocols, and security

■ Documenting your work

■ Communicative English (Czech or Slovak required)
