Senior Director, Fulfillment Services Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Collierville, TN (Hybrid) Classification: Exempt Status: Full-Time Purpose The Senior Director, Fulfillment Services provides high-level strategic leadership as well as manages and develops the Fulfillment Services, Inventory, Procurement, Warehouse, and Shipping/Logistics teams to support operational goals, ensuring all performance standards are met or exceeded. This role oversees all associated operational processes and procedures while playing a key role in cross-functional projects, growth of the Pharmacy, and strategy development. .This role supports all PANTHERx fulfillment locations, including Pittsburgh, PA, Canfield, OH, and Collierville, TN, and is expected to provide thought leadership in fulfillment operational improvements and growth. Responsibilities Manages Fulfillment Services, Inventory, Procurement, Warehouse, and Shipping/Logistics leadership teams and all related functions. Maintains a consistent presence across all current and future fulfillment locations, Drives high-level strategic planning and cross-functional leadership initiatives, engaging in strategy development, and identifying and implementing growth opportunities and operational efficiencies. Partners with internal teams to drive process improvements and implement technology to ensure low medication error rates and on-time shipment delivery. Provides high-level reporting and analysis to senior leadership, representing the Fulfillment Services department in executive meetings and cross-functional projects. Oversees staff necessary to support the operations of the teams responsible for fulfillment services, including conducting annual performance reviews, establishing performance goals, and identifying training needs. Hosts team meetings with a documented focus on achieving established departmental goals and identifying measurable outcomes for the department to be reviewed on a yearly basis. Maintains inventory according to financial and strategic guidelines, including overseeing inventory controls and wholesale processes, managing inventory replenishment and reporting processes, and ensuring proper procedures are followed for the recall processes, across all fulfillment sites. Maintains work practice documents for all established roles within the department and designs and manages workflows for the new books of business or processes. Assists with required pharmacy inspections and third-party quality audits. Collaborates closely with business development teams to develop RFP responses and create custom solutions for prospective and current clients. Forecasts staffing, operational, and facility needs over the short and long term Coordinates redundancy of pharmacist licensure to ensure continuity of operations and oversees the renewal of pharmacy licenses before expiration, documenting this process with appropriate systems and partners. Ensures pharmacy labels comply with client and regulatory guidelines and oversees the proper maintenance of departmental equipment. Partners with Program Managers and Senior Management to quickly prioritize, solution, and implement feedback from manufacturer partners. Ensures proper training and documentation of the wholesale process for the fulfillment team. Oversees pharmacy students and interns, including hiring, scheduling, and mentorship. Provides guidance to the facilities manager with the oversight and management of PANTHERx existing and new business sites. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Performs all other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications PharmD or RPh required with unrestricted license in Pennsylvania or Tennessee, with expectation to obtain other state within 90 days of hire. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare leadership role required. Current enrollment in NABP Verify. Registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy as an NABP Verified Pharmacist; or willingness to obtain registration within 30 days of hire. Previous experience in implementing pharmacy automation technology and/or construction of a new fulfillment center(s). Ability to manage deliverables in a high pace environment. Ability to lead a multi-functional, matrixed organization. Ability to communicate effectively to both executives and front-line staff. Ability to exercise independent judgment. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50-75% of the time. Preferred Qualifications 10 years of specialty pharmacy operations experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience leading teams focused on Rare diseases. Previous experience in client relations management, specifically pharmaceutical manufacturers.
