Sebela Pharmaceuticals is building a leading gastroenterology company dedicated to improving the lives of patients. Through Braintree Laboratories, Inc., a part of Sebela Pharmaceuticals and a trusted name in gastroenterology for more than 40 years, the company brings deep expertise in the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of GI therapies. An NDA has been submitted based on the successful phase 3 TRIUMpH clinical program, and plans are underway for launch as a treatment for GERD. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Senior Director, Sales will be responsible for driving sales performance, market growth, and successful product commercialization across the region critical to support the successful launch and sustained growth of Tegoprazan, a novel potassium competitive acid blocker (P-CAB). This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to execute enterprise priorities, lead high-performing sales teams, and deliver exceptional business results through customer-focused engagement, launch excellence, and disciplined execution.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead a team of 1st line leaders (DMs) and Key Account Managers (KAMs) to deliver sales results.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the operations of a National Sales team including territory alignments, targeting, performance metrics, business planning, and incentives.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with enterprise growth objectives and brand priorities.
  • Drive consistent execution of commercial initiatives across assigned markets.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations to deliver coordinated customer engagement.
  • Lead field readiness and execution activities across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.
  • Ensure teams are equipped with the capabilities, tools, resources, and behaviors required for successful product commercialization.
  • Establish performance expectations through goal setting, KPI management, business reviews, and coaching.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and business risks.
  • Provide actionable field insights to inform commercial strategy and operational effectiveness.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, industry guidelines, and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support organizational success.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive pharmaceutical sales experience, including GI experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including demonstrated success leading managers and field-based sales organizations.
  • Significant product launch experience, including participation in a full commercial launch cycle from pre-launch through post-launch execution.
  • Strong strategic planning, forecasting, business analytics, and commercial decision-making capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace, customer engagement strategies, and evolving healthcare dynamics.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent presentation, communication, and influencing abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple functions and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in leading efforts to uniquely impact organized customers (i.e. Health Systems and Large Group Practices).
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% including quarterly in person Commercial meetings at Braintree and other locations.
Salary Range: $200-240K annual salary (this reflects our reasonable and good faith estimate of what will be paid at the time of posting). Competitive benefits package included.
