Design the future architecture of one of Europe's most innovative banking networks while empowering engineers to do their best work.
Role Summary
At ING Hubs Türkiye, we're looking for a Senior E2E Test Engineer who enjoys looking beyond individual applications and understanding how complete payment journeys work from start to finish.
This role combines hands-on end-to-end testing, payment domain knowledge, system integration, API testing, and test automation. You'll validate complex payment flows across multiple applications and interfaces while helping move testing from manual execution toward scalable, maintainable automation.
You'll work within an Agile and DevOps environment, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts, IT Business Analysts, Solution Architects, DevOps Engineers, application teams, and testing specialists across different squads and domains.
Your focus will be on translating business requirements, user journeys, functional specifications, and technical designs into effective E2E test coverage. You'll execute both manual and automated tests, validate data and transaction outcomes across systems, and take ownership of test preparation, evidence, defect retesting, and regression testing.
At the same time, you'll play an important role in strengthening test automation using tools such as Postman, Playwright, GitHub, and GitHub Copilot, while contributing to ING's internal testing frameworks and engineering capabilities.
Work Model
At ING Hubs Türkiye, flexibility is more than a benefit, it's part of how we work.
Our hybrid way of working is designed to balance collaboration, innovation, and personal flexibility. Team members typically come together at our Vadistanbul office for two days per week during three weeks of the month, while one week each month is fully remote.
We also offer additional flexibility during the summer period, with remote working opportunities throughout August, allowing colleagues to spend more time where they feel most productive while staying connected to their teams.
As part of a globally distributed organization, you'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple ING locations while contributing to solutions that create impact across the bank.
About the Team
You will join the E2E Testing team within the Payments and Channels Area of the Transaction Services Tribe, working in an environment where payment journeys cross multiple applications, interfaces, teams, and locations.
We believe quality goes beyond testing a single application. It means understanding how a transaction moves across the complete payment chain, identifying risks across system boundaries, and making sure data, statuses, and outcomes remain accurate and consistent throughout the journey.
Our teams work in an Agile environment with a strong DevOps mindset, combining hands-on testing with automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Curiosity and initiative matter here, and new ideas that improve the way we test are encouraged.
What You'll Do
- Analyze business use cases, functional specifications, solution designs, and acceptance criteria to define the right E2E test coverage.
- Design and maintain test cases covering complete payment journeys across channels, APIs, processing components, and downstream systems.
- Execute manual and automated E2E tests, including happy flows, unhappy flows, error handling, boundary conditions, and regression scenarios.
- Validate payment data, statuses, and outcomes as transactions move between different systems.
- Prepare and maintain test data, test accounts, access rights, and environment prerequisites.
- Collect clear test evidence, including expected and actual results, logs, API responses, screenshots, and relevant transaction or message identifiers.
- Retest resolved defects and perform targeted regression testing to ensure fixes don't create unintended impact elsewhere in the payment chain.
- Build and maintain automated test suites and help move E2E scenarios from manual testing toward maintainable automation.
- Collaborate across squads and domains to identify blockers, communicate quality risks, and drive issues toward resolution.
About You
We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you'll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we'll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.
Ideally, you bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Around 3–6 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with end-to-end, system integration, API, functional, and regression testing.
- Experience designing test cases based on business requirements, functional specifications, user journeys, and technical designs.
- Experience building and maintaining automated test suites.
- Practical experience with Postman, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and modern automation frameworks such as Playwright.
- A hands-on ownership mindset, taking responsibility from test preparation through execution, evidence, retesting, and follow-through.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex testing topics into clear risks and decisions.
- A proactive and resilient approach when priorities shift, dependencies create blockers, or delivery pressure increases.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Good command of English and confidence collaborating across international teams.
Equal Opportunity
Don't meet every single requirement? Don't let that hold you back. Studies show many talented professionals hesitate to apply unless they meet every qualification. If you're excited about this role and believe you can make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
