Senior Engineer - Instrumentation

We are seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join a global engineering team and support the design, implementation, and optimization of instrumentation solutions for industrial processes. The role focuses on ensuring reliable measurement, control, and performance of critical plant systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering stakeholders. Responsibilities include defining instrumentation requirements, supporting technical decisions, reviewing solutions, and contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery. This position is well suited for a hands-on engineer who can work independently, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute meaningfully to delivery in a highly technical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and checking Instrumentation engineering deliverables like Instrument index, I/O list, hook-up diagrams, Instrumentation datasheets of Level, Pressure, Temperature, Flow instruments, Control valve, PSV sizing.
• Preparation and checking of Complex Loop diagrams, Cause and effect diagrams, Review of Detail engineering documents
• Participation in P&ID Review, HAZOP, and SIL assessments/verification.
• Site advisor for standard Topsoe project scope sites.
• Inspection of instrumentation items like Thermocouples, FAT, and SAT of control systems.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in instrumentation sizing and selection (Conval/Engineering Base preferred).
• Knowledge of functional safety, including preliminary SIL assessment.
• Experience in procurement, inspection, and installation of field instruments.
• Good understanding of control systems.
• Familiar with ISO, API, ISA, IEC/IES, CE, and NEC standards
• Strong communication skills; comfortable in multicultural environments with a willingness to travel.
• Experience: 10- 15 years
• Bachelor's or Master's of Engineering –Instrumentation, Electrical, or equivalent.
