About the Opportunity :

Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Managed IoT Network Platform team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges across the full application stack, with a strong focus on backend development, PostgreSQL, Node.js, and distributed systems.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining a platform that supports large-scale IoT connectivity solutions while collaborating with globally distributed teams.

This is a hybrid position requiring attendance at the Santiago office twice per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for a Managed IoT platform.
• Build and enhance backend services using Node.js.
• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions, including complex business logic.
• Write and optimize stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries.
• Troubleshoot issues across frontend applications, backend services, databases, and system integrations.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Drive software quality through testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Required Experience

Must-Have:

✅ 5+ years of software engineering experience

✅ Strong Node.js development experience

✅ Strong PostgreSQL experience

✅ Experience writing:

• Stored Procedures
• Functions
• Triggers
• Views
• Complex SQL Queries

✅ Full-stack development experience

✅ Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as:

• React
• Angular
• Vue.js

✅ Experience debugging across:

• Frontend
• Backend APIs
• Application Services
• Databases

✅ Experience working in Agile environments

✅ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

✅ Ability to communicate effectively in English
