Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Technical Fashion Designer to join our Product & Design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating creative designs into accurate technical specifications, ensuring that garments are developed according to design requirements, fit standards, quality expectations, and production specifications.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern development, fabrics, measurements, and fit evaluation, with the ability to coordinate closely with designers, pattern makers, sampling teams, and production departments.

Job Description:

1. Technical Design & Documentation: Develop detailed technical drawings (flats), technical specifications, and Tech Packs, including measurements, construction details, stitching, finishing, and garment specifications.
2. Pattern & Fit Development: Review patterns, evaluate garment fit, conduct fitting sessions, and provide technical comments and corrections to ensure accurate garment construction.
3. Sample Development: Follow up on prototype and sample development, review samples against approved designs, and ensure all technical requirements are properly implemented.
4. Fabric & Material Knowledge: Identify suitable fabrics, trims, and materials based on garment design, functionality, quality, and construction requirements.
5. Technical Quality Control: Ensure consistency between approved designs, technical specifications, samples, and final production, identifying and resolving technical discrepancies.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with fashion designers, pattern makers, sourcing, purchasing, and production teams to ensure smooth product development and timely sample approvals.
7. Technical Problem-Solving: Identify garment construction and production challenges and recommend practical technical solutions.
8. Technical Standards: Maintain and update technical documentation, measurement charts, grading specifications, and construction guidelines.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in technical fashion design, preferably within women's ready-to-wear fashion.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, grading, and fitting techniques.
Advanced ability to create technical flats and detailed Tech Packs.
Excellent understanding of fabrics, textiles, trims, and garment finishing.
Experience in sample development and production follow-up.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and relevant fashion design software.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
