We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our Reporting team on a 6-month contract.
Reporting to the Head of Reporting, you will play a critical role in managing the Groups tax compliance, reporting, and governance activities while supporting broader financial reporting requirements.
This hands-on role requires strong technical accounting expertise, with the ability to partner effectively across the business. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, external advisors, and auditors to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse management reports, providing timely insights and financial analysis to support decision-making and business performance monitoring.
- Maintain financial ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting.
- Contribute to month-end, half-year and year-end reporting processes, delivering accurate financial information within tight deadlines.
- Assist with tax-related financial information and analysis to support statutory reporting, year-end financial statements, and broader Group reporting requirements.
- Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies, including supporting tax reviews and audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, tax and accounting processes to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting outcomes.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualified, with a strong technical accounting foundation. Big 4 experience will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in tax and financial reporting within an ASX-listed organisation or similarly complex environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.
- Results-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working effectively under pressure.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and confident making decisions within delegated authority.
