About the role We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support the Finance function through financial reporting, planning, analysis, and business partnership. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate and timely P&L reporting, financial analysis, ad hoc reporting, and management insights, while partnering closely with teams across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Hyperion, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace, with strong financial acumen and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights. This individual will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating cross-functionally to support business objectives and improve financial performance. Department: Finance Reports to: Interim Head of Finance, US Location: New York, New York Hybrid/Remote/In-Person: Hybrid, 3-days Terms and conditions: Full-time, permanent Annual Salary: $110-120k Key responsibilities Financial Reporting & P&L Management Own and support monthly P&L reporting, including preparation, analysis, variance explanations, and identification of key business drivers. Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and analyses for Finance leadership and cross-functional business partners. Support the preparation of presentations and financial insights for Finance leadership and business stakeholders. Financial Analysis & Strategic Planning Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights. Investigate variances and financial trends, working with relevant stakeholders to understand root causes and communicate findings. Support the broader Finance function across forecasting, budgeting, reporting, planning, and other strategic and operational initiatives. Assist with special projects and other ad hoc analyses as needed to support evolving business and Finance priorities. Systems, Modeling & Process Improvement Leverage Hyperion to support financial reporting, data analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes. Develop and maintain sophisticated Excel-based financial models, reporting tools, and analyses to support decision-making. Utilize Google Workspace, including Google Sheets, and Google Slides, to facilitate reporting, analysis, presentations, and cross-functional collaboration. Develop and improve reporting processes, templates, and analytical tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility into financial performance. Cross-Functional Partnership & Collaboration Partner with other Finance team members to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial reporting. Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business performance, gather financial inputs, resolve discrepancies, and provide financial guidance. Serve as a trusted financial partner to cross-functional teams, helping stakeholders understand financial results and make informed business decisions. About you Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant financial analysis or FP&A experience. Strong experience with P&L reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting. Hands-on experience with Hyperion or a comparable enterprise financial planning and reporting system. Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, Slides, and Drive. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver both recurring and ad hoc financial reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Strong cross-functional collaboration and business partnering skills.
