Duties & Responsibilities: Design and implementation of FPGA solutions for new product development. Develop Verilog/System Verilog code for complex digital logic, including high-speed interfaces and control functions. Perform comprehensive simulation, synthesis, and place & route for FPGAs (e.g., AMD/Altera). Design and implement test benches and verification methodologies for FPGA designs. Collaborate with software, firmware, and system engineers to integrate FPGA designs into larger system architectures. Conduct hardware debugging and validation. Generate detailed design documentation, including specifications, block diagrams, and test plans. Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to design standards. Stay abreast of new FPGA technologies, tools, and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical growth of the team. Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in FPGA design and development for commercial products. Expertise in VHDL and/or Verilog for complex digital design. Strong proficiency with FPGA development tools (e.g., AMD Vivado, Intel Quartus Prime). Extensive experience with simulation and verification methodologies (e.g., UVM, SystemVerilog is a plus). Solid understanding of high-speed digital design principles, signal integrity, and timing closure. Experience with various communication protocols (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, SPI, I2C). Proficiency in using lab equipment for hardware debug and validation. Familiarity with embedded processors (e.g., ARM, MicroBlaze, Nios II) within FPGAs is highly desirable. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl) for automation. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
