Senior Front-End Web Developer

High-Volume Website & Landing Page Development

Department: Web Development & Digital Experience
Position Type: Full-Time
Experience: 5–7+ years preferred

About Divergent

We are a integrated growth agency connecting brand strategy, creative, paid media, SEO, web development, and analytics to drive measurable business results.

We work with growing businesses across healthcare, behavioral health, professional services, and other industries to create connected digital experiences that turn marketing investment into meaningful growth.

We build growth systems. Not more marketing.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Front-End Web Developer to lead the development, launch, maintenance, and optimization of websites and high-converting landing pages across multiple client accounts.

This is a production-focused role for someone who has extensive experience building websites at scale, not simply maintaining existing sites or making occasional design updates.

The ideal candidate can independently take an approved Figma design or wireframe and transform it into a polished, fully functional, responsive website. They understand how to build efficiently using reusable components, scalable templates, and standardized development processes.

You must be equally comfortable launching a full website, producing multiple campaign landing pages, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with creative, paid media, SEO, and analytics teams.

This is a hands-on development role. We need someone who builds, launches, and takes ownership of the finished product.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Development & Production

  • Independently develop, launch, and maintain high-quality websites across multiple client accounts.

  • Translate Figma designs and approved wireframes into responsive, production-ready websites.

  • Build custom WordPress websites, themes, templates, and reusable components.

  • Develop microsites, service pages, location pages, and campaign-specific landing pages.

  • Ensure consistent visual execution across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

  • Manage website redesigns, migrations, staging environments, and production launches.

  • Maintain clean, scalable, well-documented code.

2. High-Volume Landing Page Development

  • Rapidly produce landing pages supporting Google Ads, Meta, SEO, and other acquisition campaigns.

  • Build reusable landing page templates that can be customized efficiently across clients, services, and geographic markets.

  • Create conversion-focused page layouts with strong calls to action, lead forms, and appointment scheduling.

  • Collaborate with paid media and creative teams to support ongoing A/B testing.

  • Implement design and content variations without requiring complete page rebuilds.

  • Ensure every landing page is properly tested, tracked, and functional before launch.

3. Technical SEO & Website Performance

  • Implement technical SEO requirements in collaboration with the SEO/AEO team.

  • Optimize Core Web Vitals, loading speed, mobile usability, and website performance.

  • Implement schema markup, metadata, canonical tags, redirects, XML sitemaps, and structured content.

  • Resolve crawlability, indexation, and technical website errors.

  • Ensure websites follow accessibility and responsive design best practices.

  • Support website architecture designed for traditional and AI-powered search visibility.

4. Marketing Technology & Integrations

  • Integrate website forms with CRMs, lead-management platforms, and marketing automation systems.

  • Implement and troubleshoot Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel, and CallTrackingMetrics.

  • Configure appointment scheduling, call tracking, form submissions, and conversion events.

  • Work with the analytics team to verify that leads are properly captured, attributed, and delivered to the appropriate systems.

  • Troubleshoot API connections, webhooks, form-routing failures, and third-party integrations.

  • Apply appropriate privacy and security safeguards, particularly for healthcare clients.

5. Website Maintenance, Security & Quality Assurance

  • Manage hosting environments, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, backups, and deployments.

  • Maintain and update existing client websites, themes, plugins, and integrations.

  • Identify and resolve bugs, broken forms, compatibility issues, and performance problems.

  • Conduct thorough prelaunch QA across browsers, devices, links, forms, and tracking.

  • Establish reliable staging, approval, deployment, and rollback procedures.

  • Maintain website security, uptime, and technical documentation.

6. Scalable Development Operations

  • Build and maintain a library of reusable website components, templates, and development standards.

  • Manage multiple website and landing page projects simultaneously.

  • Provide accurate estimates, timelines, and technical requirements before development begins.

  • Track work and communicate progress through the agency's project management system.

  • Collaborate with creative, SEO, paid media, analytics, and client strategy teams.

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive development and QA tasks.

  • Take responsibility for technical quality, delivery timelines, and successful launches.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of professional front-end website development experience, preferably within a digital or marketing agency.

  • Advanced WordPress development experience, including custom themes, templates, plugins, and CMS architecture.

  • Expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive design, and PHP.

  • Demonstrated experience building and launching multiple websites and landing pages concurrently.

  • Ability to accurately translate Figma designs into production-ready websites.

  • Experience with Gutenberg, Advanced Custom Fields, Elementor, or comparable WordPress development tools.

  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and website performance optimization.

  • Experience integrating forms, CRMs, analytics, tracking platforms, and third-party APIs.

  • Proficiency with Git, staging environments, version control, and deployment workflows.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical problems independently.

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, documentation, and communication.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Webflow, HubSpot CMS, or headless CMS platforms.

  • Familiarity with React, Next.js, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.

  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, CallTrackingMetrics, and marketing automation.

  • Experience implementing A/B tests and conversion rate optimization initiatives.

  • Experience building multi-location healthcare websites and service-specific landing pages.

  • Knowledge of healthcare website privacy and accessibility considerations.

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve production efficiency.

  • Experience creating scalable component libraries and design systems.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Production capacity: Ability to deliver multiple websites and landing pages efficiently across client accounts.

  • On-time delivery: Projects launched according to approved schedules and requirements.

  • Development quality: Accurate implementation of approved designs with minimal revisions and rework.

  • Website performance: Fast, responsive, accessible websites with strong technical health.

  • Conversion functionality: Forms, tracking, scheduling, and CRM integrations working correctly at launch.

  • Scalability: Increased production efficiency through reusable templates, components, and standardized workflows.

  • Ownership: Proactive problem-solving, transparent communication, and accountability from development through deployment.

Who Will Thrive Here

You are a developer who takes pride in building excellent websites and getting them launched.

You understand that a beautiful website is only successful when it works technically, supports search visibility, captures leads correctly, and helps clients grow.

You can manage several projects without losing attention to detail. You know when to use existing tools, when to develop custom solutions, and how to build systems that make future work faster.

Most importantly, you are comfortable taking ownership of the entire development process—from an approved design to a fully functional, tested, live website.
