About the Role
Join a small engineering team building a marketplace for compute resources. This senior, backend-focused role spans architecture, product development, and production ownership, with the opportunity to shape features and help deliver a reliable customer-facing platform.
What You'll Do
Design and build backend services and frontend features for inventory management, orders, RFQs, and invoicing.
Plan features and write specifications for AI coding agents, then review and validate the resulting code.
Develop capabilities such as identity verification workflows, team messaging integrations, live chat, and AI-assisted customer support.
Own systems end to end, including deployment, production reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Contribute to product discussions and help monitor customer support requests and resolve tickets.
What We're Looking For
8 to 12 years of software engineering experience, including a backend-heavy background and shipped customer-facing web applications.
Experience as a founder or at an early-stage startup, with a self-directed and adaptable approach to work.
Proficiency with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and modern web development.
Experience with CI/CD and Kubernetes; familiarity with technologies such as Go, Rust, Node.js, Bun, Temporal, Kafka, and Git is relevant.
Experience with marketplaces, e-commerce, or business workflows such as inventory management and invoicing.
Familiarity with planning and writing specifications for AI-assisted development, plus willingness to support customers and collaborate during US-compatible hours.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is $200,000 to $275,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
Remote, with Canada as the primary location. Candidates should be able to work US-compatible time zones, including core collaboration hours from 11 AM to 4 PM Eastern Time.
