In this role, you’ll develop, maintain, and modernize MDK’s legal case-management platform. You’ll work across front-end applications, back-end services, integrations, and databases. You’ll also help shape technical solutions, improve system reliability, and mentor junior developers while partnering with business and technical teams.

Your Role in Action

• Design, develop, maintain, and improve software across MDK’s legal case-management platform.
• Build and support back-end services, Web APIs, background processes, and responsive web applications using C#, .NET, and modern front-end technologies.
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, indexes, and data models.
• Integrate internal applications with third-party systems through APIs, file exchanges, queues, and document-automation tools.
• Modernize established applications through practical, incremental improvements while maintaining production stability.
• Improve automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, code-quality controls, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Monitor production performance, lead root-cause analysis, and implement lasting solutions to system issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship through code reviews, design discussions, documentation, and collaboration with junior developers.
• Partner with business and technical teams to understand needs, recommend practical solutions, and explain technical decisions clearly.
• Support MDK’s mission, values, initiatives, and team goals through collaboration, accountability, and technical leadership.

Qualifications

Your Background & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience, including substantial full stack responsibility.
• Deep experience with C# and .NET, including .NET Framework and modern .NET technologies such as ASP.NET Core and Web API.
• Strong front-end development experience with Angular, React, or Vue, along with TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL experience, including database design and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including indexing, mappings, queries, aggregations, or observability use cases.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated ability to design solutions across multiple applications and translate business needs into workable technical plans.
• Experience mentoring developers and improving team coding, design, testing, and documentation practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge existing approaches when appropriate and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience with WPF, Azure services, Power BI, SSIS/SSRS, document automation, message queues, Playwright, or AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
