Senior Fullstack Product Engineer, .NET - Stockholm Hybrid

Is this job info correct?

Devolens is looking for a senior fullstack product engineer to help evolve the core platform behind our B2B software licensing product. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning customer-facing features end to end: understanding the problem, shaping a pragmatic solution, building across C#/.NET backend and ASP.NET MVC/Razor UI, shipping safely, and following up on quality and customer impact. We are a small team working on a mature, revenue-generating product. This is not a greenfield rewrite. You will help modernize a proven .NET application incrementally, using strong engineering judgment and AI-native workflows to move faster without compromising maintainability. This is a Stockholm-based hybrid role . We work flexibly, but regular in-person collaboration is important. You should already be based in Sweden and able to meet in Stockholm regularly. About Devolens Devolens builds software for companies that sell, manage, and distribute software licenses. Our platform helps customers handle licensing, subscription flows, renewals, integrations, and operational workflows around software sales. We are a small, pragmatic team with a mature product, real customers, and meaningful product and technical problems to solve. We care about simplicity, ownership, customer impact, and using modern tools — including AI — to work smarter. About the role You will work across the full product and technical stack, from backend services and APIs to web UI, database logic, integrations, and product workflows. This role is for someone who thinks beyond tickets. You should be comfortable asking why something matters, clarifying the customer problem, suggesting better solutions, and taking responsibility for the result. You will work closely with the business side and other team members to decide what to build, how to build it, and how to make the product better for customers. What you will do Own customer-facing features from idea to shipped product Work across C#/.NET backend, APIs, database logic, and web UI Improve and modernize a mature production application incrementally Help simplify complex workflows around software licensing, subscriptions, and customer operations Use AI tools to speed up development, code understanding, refactoring, testing, and documentation Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and maintainability Collaborate closely with product, business, and customer needs Improve developer experience, code quality, and long-term system health Who you are You are an experienced software engineer who enjoys product ownership. You care about the customer problem, not only the implementation task. You are comfortable working in a mature codebase. You do not need everything to be greenfield. You know how to improve systems gradually, reduce complexity, and make good trade-offs. You use AI tools naturally in your engineering workflow — for codebase exploration, debugging, refactoring, tests, documentation, and faster iteration — while still applying your own judgment on architecture, quality, security, and maintainability. You communicate clearly, take ownership, and like working in a small team where your decisions have visible impact. We think you will be successful in this role if you have 7+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong production experience with C# and .NET Hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC, Razor, Web API, or similar server-rendered web applications Experience building and maintaining customer-facing production systems Comfort working across backend, frontend, APIs, data, and business logic Experience owning work end to end: clarifying requirements, proposing solutions, shipping safely, and following through on outcomes Strong engineering judgment: you know how to balance speed, simplicity, quality, and long-term maintainability A product mindset: you care about solving customer problems, not just closing tickets Regular use of AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar in your engineering workflow Strong communication skills in English Ability to work from Stockholm regularly Nice to have Experience modernizing legacy or mature .NET applications Experience with SaaS, subscriptions, licensing, billing, or B2B platforms Experience with integrations, authentication, APIs, or customer/partner portals Experience working in small teams or founder-led companies Experience improving developer workflows, test coverage, or deployment processes Swedish language skills are a plus, but not required This role is a strong fit if you Like owning product problems end to end Enjoy working close to customers and business needs Are comfortable improving a mature production system step by step Prefer pragmatic engineering over technical purity Use AI tools actively and thoughtfully in your daily work Want a role where seniority means ownership, judgment, and impact This role is probably not the right fit if you Are looking for a junior or early-career role Want a fully remote international contractor position Prefer only greenfield development Mainly want clearly defined tickets handed to you Have not worked deeply with production .NET applications Are not able to work from Stockholm regularly Location This is a Stockholm-based hybrid role . We work flexibly, but regular in-person collaboration is important for this role. You should already be based in Sweden and able to meet in Stockholm regularly. Flexible working hours Skill development Remote work flexibility Paid holiday Gym/sports allowance New tech gear Pension plan
