Senior General Ledger (GL)

Safe Side is a Saudi accounting and bookkeeping firm serving multiple clients across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant who can independently own the books of several client entities at once, work directly with client teams, and deliver accurate, timely monthly closes on Zoho Books.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of client entities: journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and bank/balance sheet reconciliations.

• Run the month-end and year-end close for each client and deliver monthly financial reports and management packs.

• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve them with the client.

• Communicate directly with client finance teams and owners to collect documents, answer queries, and explain results.

• Support clients' external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 5–8 years of experience in General Ledger accounting and financial reporting; experience in an accounting/bookkeeping firm handling multiple clients is a strong plus.

• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is required; experience with other ERPs (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics 365) is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS; IFRS Diploma (DipIFR) is preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

• Professional English and Arabic, written and spoken, with strong client-communication skills.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid role based in Egypt, working with a Saudi-based company.

• Working week is Sunday to Thursday, following Saudi Arabia working hours.

• You will use your own laptop.

• As the employer is a Saudi entity, the role does not include Egyptian social or medical insurance.
