Senior Head of Data / Senior Chief Data Officer

Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves supporting FIDIC’s mission by contributing to educational and informational content related to FIDIC contracts and best practices in construction and engineering. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with research on contract updates and case studies, preparing or reviewing written materials and presentations, and helping to organize online and in-person community engagement activities. The role also includes collaborating with team members and stakeholders to ensure that resources are accurate, accessible, and aligned with FIDIC’s standards. Occasional participation in events, workshops, or meetings in Abu Dhabi and online may be required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of construction and engineering sectors, with familiarity or strong interest in FIDIC contracts and contract management.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical or legal information and present it clearly.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to produce concise, professional content and presentations.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing tasks both on-site in Abu Dhabi Emirate and remotely with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in engineering, construction management, law, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience or interest in professional communities, training, or knowledge-sharing initiatives is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a part-time setting.
• Cross-cultural awareness and the ability to collaborate with international stakeholders and diverse professional groups.
