🔍 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run and further develop existing standard and custom IBM i applications in merchandise management, HR, accounting, warehouse management and BI
• Create concepts for new software solutions and own their implementation
• Build and maintain interfaces to other systems and to the client’s data integration platform
• Develop in RDi and manage source versioning with CMOne
• Design and implement SQL functions and procedures, and model databases in SQL
• Work closely with business and IT stakeholders, in German

🛠️REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

• Strong, hands-on experience in RPG development (ILE RPG), including procedures and service programs
• Experience developing SQL functions and SQL procedures
• Advanced knowledge of database modeling with SQL
• Experience with RDi and familiarity with VS Code
• German: C1 level, as the role requires daily communication in German
• Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate or reduce repetitive work, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality outcomes.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly by structuring effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of the final result.

Nice to Have

• IBM i-specific certifications
• Experience with CMOne
• Experience with modern middleware or integration solutions (Lobster or similar)
• Background in retail, ERP or merchandise management systems
