Enthought では、日本国内のお客様案件における DevOps をリードし、あわせて社内の IT 運用にも大きな責任を担うシニアインフラストラクチャエンジニアを募集しています。業務の中心は、お客様向けソリューションの構築と運用です。当社の開発チームが日本の企業向けに開発したソリューションを支えるインフラを設計・構築し、安定して稼働させます。基盤は Microsoft Azure が中心で、AWS やお客様独自のプラットフォームを使う場合もあります。残りは IT です。東京オフィスの現場対応に加えて、DevOps・サポートチームの一員として全社のインフラ関連リクエストも担当します。担当範囲が広いのは意図的なものです。ある日はお客様のクラウドエンジニアと Infrastructure as Code をレビューし、翌日は新しい同僚のノート PC をセットアップする、そうした仕事です。インフラとセキュリティについてお客様とやり取りする日本語の技術窓口となるため、本ポジションでは日本語と英語の両方でビジネスレベルの会話力と読み書きの力が必要です。

主な職務

• お客様案件のエンドツーエンドのインフラソリューションを設計します。クラウドアーキテクチャ、自動化、運用セキュリティに関する深い知見を活かし、お客様が必要とすることを、デプロイ、ID 管理、監視、コストにわたる環境へと落とし込みます。
• 開発チームに対してソリューションのデプロイに関する助言を行い、案件の状況に応じてデプロイ作業そのものも担当します。
• お客様のクラウドおよびインフラ担当エンジニアと直接連携します。お客様の環境内での作業や、必要に応じた現地での対応も含みます。
• 担当する環境について、Infrastructure as Code、CI/CD パイプライン、デプロイ自動化、監視の構築と維持を行います。
• セキュリティを初期段階からデプロイに組み込みます。シークレット管理、依存関係と脆弱性への対応、コンテナのハードニング、Infrastructure as Code のレビューを、Head of Security が定める基準に沿って実施します。
• 稼働中のお客様ソリューションを維持します。監視とインシデント対応を担い、アプリケーション層の問題は開発チームにエスカレーションします。
• 担当環境のクラウドコストを監視し、最適化します。
• 開発チームが自らの環境で利用する共通インフラモジュールやパターンの整備に貢献します。
• 東京オフィスの IT を現場で支えます。PC やハードウェア、ローカルネットワークとオフィス機器、入社・退社時の対面での対応が含まれます。
• DevOps・サポートチームの他のメンバーとともに、全社の IT およびインフラ関連チケットの相当部分を処理します。あわせて自動化とセルフサービス化を進め、定型的な依頼にエンジニアの手がかからない状態をつくっていきます。
• エージェント前提で働きます。AI ツールを運用業務の標準的な手段として使い、安全に自動化できる範囲を広げ続けます。
• 日本語と英語の両方で明確にコミュニケーションをとります。お客様、東京の同僚、そして他拠点のチームとのやり取りが含まれます。

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead DevOps for our customer engagements in Japan and to take significant responsibility for how Enthought runs its own IT. Most of the work is customer deployment and operations: standing up and running the infrastructure behind solutions our development teams build for Japanese enterprises, usually on Microsoft Azure and sometimes on AWS or a customer’s own platform. The rest is IT, both hands-on support for the Tokyo office and a share of company-wide infrastructure requests alongside the DevOps and Support team. The range is wide on purpose. One day you are reviewing infrastructure-as-code with a customer’s cloud engineers, the next you are setting up a new colleague’s laptop. Because you will be the Japanese-speaking technical contact our customers talk to about infrastructure and security, this role requires business-level fluency in Japanese and English, spoken and written.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions for customer engagements, applying deep knowledge of cloud architecture, automation, and operational security to translate what a customer needs into environments spanning deployment, identity, monitoring, and cost.
• Advise our development teams on deploying their solutions, and take on the deployment work yourself as each engagement requires.
• Work directly with customers’ cloud and infrastructure engineers, inside their environments and on site where needed.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring for the environments you own.
• Build security into deployments from the start: secrets management, dependency and vulnerability handling, container hardening, and infrastructure-as-code review, following the standards set by our Head of Security.
• Keep deployed customer solutions running, handling monitoring and incidents and escalating application-level issues to the development teams.
• Monitor and optimize cloud spend across your environments.
• Contribute to the shared infrastructure modules and patterns that development teams use for their own work.
• Provide hands-on IT for the Tokyo office, covering laptops and hardware, local network and office technology, and in-person onboarding and offboarding.
• Work a substantial share of company-wide IT and infrastructure tickets with the rest of the DevOps and Support team, and extend automation and self-service so routine requests stop needing engineering time.
• Work agent-first, using AI tools as your default way to handle operational work, and keep pushing on what can safely be automated.
• Communicate clearly in Japanese and English, with customers, with colleagues in Tokyo, and with teams across our other offices.
