Senior Infrastructure Migration Engineer – VM/OS Migration

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Netherlands or Bangalore

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Remote : Occasional on-site presence may be required in exceptional circumstances, either in the Netherlands or Bangalore, in consultation with the client.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Migration Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure migration.

You will be responsible for planning and executing VM and OS migrations, with a strong focus on VMware/ESX environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Execute OS upgrades and in-place upgrades
• Perform greenfield VM deployments
• Execute VM migrations and ringfencing
• Support VMware ESX/ESXi and vCenter migrations and upgrades
• Prepare migration plans, runbooks and cutover procedures
• Perform technical validation, troubleshooting and post-migration support

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with VMware/ESX infrastructure
• Proven experience with enterprise-scale VM and OS migrations
• Hands-on experience with ESXi, vCenter, vMotion and Storage vMotion
• Experience with both in-place upgrades and greenfield deployments
• Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure migration skills
