About Us

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Investment Performance Measurement Specialist to oversee investment return calculations, performance reporting, benchmark comparisons, and performance data quality. This role supports accurate measurement of investment results across portfolios and asset classes, ensuring that performance information is reliable, consistent, and aligned with recognized industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in investment performance methodologies, portfolio analytics, and financial reporting, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and deliver clear performance insights to investment managers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate, validate, and report investment performance across equity, fixed-income, multi-asset, and alternative investment portfolios.
• Apply appropriate return calculation methodologies, including time-weighted returns (TWR) and money-weighted returns (MWR), based on reporting requirements.
• Monitor portfolio returns against designated benchmarks, investment objectives, and relevant performance targets.
• Review daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance results to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Reconcile portfolio valuations, holdings, transactions, cash flows, income, fees, and corporate actions to identify discrepancies affecting performance calculations.
• Analyze performance movements and investigate unusual returns, data inconsistencies, and calculation exceptions.
• Coordinate with portfolio management, investment operations, finance, risk management, and data teams to resolve performance reporting issues.
• Maintain and validate benchmark data, portfolio classifications, composite structures, and historical performance records.
• Support performance attribution analysis to explain the contribution of asset allocation, security selection, market movements, and currency exposure to investment results.
• Review the treatment of management fees, transaction costs, taxes, and other relevant adjustments in performance reporting.
• Prepare performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for portfolio managers, senior management, investment committees, and clients.
• Ensure performance calculation methodologies are documented, consistently applied, and subject to appropriate controls.
• Support compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS), where applicable, and relevant internal reporting policies.
• Assist with composite construction, account assignment, and performance presentation reviews where required.
• Support internal and external audits, client due diligence requests, and reviews of investment performance data.
• Identify opportunities to automate calculations, improve data quality, and strengthen performance reporting controls.
• Monitor industry developments and recommend enhancements to performance measurement methodologies and reporting practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in investment performance measurement, portfolio reporting, performance analytics, or investment operations.
• Strong understanding of investment return calculations, benchmark-relative performance, cash flow treatment, and portfolio valuation principles.
• Experience measuring performance across multiple asset classes, including equities and fixed income.
• Familiarity with TWR, MWR, annualized returns, composite performance, performance attribution, and risk-adjusted performance metrics.
• Knowledge of GIPS standards and investment performance presentation requirements is highly desirable.
• Experience with portfolio management systems, performance measurement platforms, benchmark databases, or financial data providers.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or other analytical tools is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, CIPM, or equivalent investment performance credentials are desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to explain performance results clearly to different stakeholders.
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and data governance.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and work independently in a fully remote environment.
