TechHeads is partnering with a leading Irish organisation to appoint a Senior JD Edwards Developer to join its Solutions ERP team. Following a recent upgrade to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, the organisation is progressing a number of business improvement initiatives, with further enhancements planned around Release 26.

This is a hands-on development position, with approximately 70% focused on new functionality and integrations, with 30% on support and maintenance.

The successful candidate will work within a complex ERP environment integrating with approximately 30 - 40 systems, taking ownership of development activities and helping introduce newer JD Edwards capabilities, particularly Orchestrator, APIs, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy new functionality within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
• Develop and enhance integrations using JD Edwards Orchestrator, APIs and associated technologies - upskilling can be provided if required.
• Manage the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and technical design through to testing, deployment and support.
• Develop, modify and debug existing JD Edwards applications, reports and Business Functions.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, newer JD Edwards functionality and emerging technologies, including Agentic AI in the future.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external development partners to deliver system enhancements and improvements.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

• 4–6+ years of hands-on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development experience, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong experience across the full development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and deployment.
• Practical experience with Form Design Aid (FDA), Report Design Aid (RDA), Business Functions (BSFN) and JDE debugging.
• Experience developing or supporting integrations between JD Edwards and other enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards Orchestrator, APIs and integration functionality, highly desirable.
• Understanding of JD Edwards business processes, ideally across Finance, Procurement or Sales Order Processing.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and take ownership of technical delivery.
