The opportunity
HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group within Hitachi Energy that develops, manufactures, and delivers DC transmission systems worldwide. HVDC technology enables the efficient transmission of electricity over long distances, through submarine cables, and between interconnected power systems.
Join our team as a Senior LCI Specialist and help us drive innovation in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction industry!
As part of the LCI team, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to coordinate all activities related to Life Cycle Information (LCI), Asset Information Management (AIM) and Data Quality. Your main responsibility will be to support project execution and ensure effective LCI coordination across all phases of a project, from tendering to final handover to the client.
You will play a critical role in aligning data handling strategies and practices with key stakeholders, including the Building Information Modelling (BIM), Service, Digital, and PLM organizations, to ensure we provide the best possible support to our customers and stay ahead in an industry that is increasingly driven by information rather than documents.
To succeed in this role, you should be resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment. You need to effectively manage multiple project stakeholders simultaneously and ensure they have everything they need to deliver their part of the project.
How you’ll make an impact
- Ensure all project stakeholders understand and comply with the client’s LCI/AIM requirements.
- Oversee the collection, validation, and maintenance of asset information, including equipment specifications, maintenance records, and performance data.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, maintenance, SCM, and IT teams, to integrate asset information processes into project workflows and systems.
- Develop and implement strategies for the successful adoption and integration of LCI/AIM concepts, systems and processes across various functions within Hitachi Energy.
- Establish and enforce quality standards for asset data accuracy, completeness, and integrity to support reliable decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and deliver training on LCI/AIM systems and processes in collaboration with the Training Development Lead.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation in LCI/AIM practices to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
- Lead and manage LCI related continuous improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on LCI objectives, progress, and outcomes.
Your background
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, information management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in asset management or data analytics is an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in a senior technical role within Asset Information Management, Life Cycle Information, or related fields in the energy, utilities, or manufacturing industries.
- In-depth knowledge of AIM systems and technologies, such as AVEVA AIM, Omega365, IBM Maximo, digital twin platforms or similar solutions.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks for asset management, such as IEC 61970-301, ISO 55000 and IEC 62443.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation in LCI/AIM processes and practices.
