About the role
We are seeking an
experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our global in-house legal team, based
in our London EMEA headquarters. This is a hands-on generalist role with a
primary focus on our EMEA operations. The successful candidate will bring
strong expertise in commercial law, data privacy, competition law, European
regulatory matters, and employment law, and will be equally comfortable
drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, developing compliance programs,
supporting our EMEA sales teams, and managing authorized outside counsel spend.
We are looking for demonstrated enthusiasm for
adopting AI and emerging legal technologies to improve efficiency, enhance the
quality of legal services and streamline workflows, while maintaining
appropriate professional judgement, confidentiality and regulatory compliance. The
candidate is genuinely excited about using AI to do more with less as a core
working method, helping drive the team toward an AI-enabled model of legal
service delivery that produces high-quality work faster and more
cost-effectively, keeping work in-house where appropriate.
Key Focus Areas
- EMEA commercial: commercial agreements and day-to-day support for the EMEA sales and marketing teams.
- Competition law: selective distribution, pricing and resale practices, and competition compliance across EMEA.
- Data privacy: proactive GDPR and UK GDPR compliance.
- European regulatory matters: product safety, consumer protection, advertising and marketing claims, AI, data, and product compliance rules affecting our products and services.
- Employment law: general employment advice to HR.
- Occasional support for regions outside EMEA.
Reporting
This role reports
directly to the Chief Legal Officer. This is a hybrid role based in our London
office, with a minimum of three days per week in the office and the option to
work remotely the other two days. The role primarily supports our EMEA operations
and requires comfort working across multiple jurisdictions. The role may
involve occasional travel and requires flexibility to take occasional calls
outside normal hours to accommodate colleagues in other time zones.
