An established, fast-paced, results-driven Virginia personal injury and medical malpractice litigation law firm is seeking a Senior, Trial-Ready Litigation Paralegal for a full-time hybrid position based out of either our Winchester, Virginia or Harrisonburg, Virginia office.

This seat is built for a seasoned litigation professional who thrives in a structured, high-ownership, zero-drama environment, takes pride in mastering complex litigation files from complaint through jury verdict, and wants to work closely with trial counsel to drive cases forward offensively and defensively without delay.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

1. Zero-Error Statute of Limitations & Litigation Deadline Mastery:

- Own and maintain litigation calendars across Virginia Circuit Courts, General District Courts, and Federal Courts with a 0% error rate on all Statutes of Limitations, governmental notices, scheduling orders (PTSOs), discovery cutoffs, expert designations, and internal/external filing deadlines.

- Participate in mandatory monthly two-eyes Statute of Limitations and governmental notice audits across every active matter on your docket.

2. On-Site Trial, Deposition & Mediation Readiness:

- Provide direct, hands-on trial preparation and on-site courtroom support during jury trials, depositions, mediations, and evidentiary hearings—including active management of jury pools during voir dire, trial notebooks, exhibit tracking, witness and expert coordination, subpoenas, and post-trial/disbursement logistics.

3. Offensive & Defensive Litigation File Management:

- Draft complex pleadings, comprehensive discovery requests and responses, initial disclosures, Rule 26(f) / PTSO schedules, motions (dispositive and non-dispositive), praecipes, and court orders under attorney supervision following the firm's structured templates, redline workflows, and naming conventions.

- Analyze medical records, oversee detailed medical chronologies, resolve complex liens (Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, ERISA, hospital/provider liens), and prepare accurate settlement disbursement sheets.

- Maintain proactive bi-monthly client status communications and professional, timely coordination with opposing counsel, judicial chambers, clerks' offices, and expert witnesses.

4. High-Ownership, Zero-Drama Team Culture:

- Operate with complete candor, accuracy, and accountability—following written directives accurately, delivering clean finals alongside requested redlines on time, reporting case-by-case status facts with precision, and maintaining a respectful, solution-oriented tone with attorneys, leadership, and teammates at all times.
