You’ll collaborate with Legal, Finance, Investor Relations, HR, Corporate Development, and business leaders to tackle ambiguous challenges, shape enterprise compensation strategy, and turn rigorous analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
This senior individual-contributor role combines consulting-style analysis and executive exposure, with direct ownership of implementation and long-term outcomes. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, support and periodically present to the HR Leadership Team, and have the opportunity to expand your impact by taking on broader company-wide compensation priorities over time.
This position is part of the Total Rewards team and will be remote in the United States.

- Turn complex analysis into clear, decision-ready materials for the Compensation Committee and executive leaders, while partnering with Legal, Finance, and Investor Relations on disclosures, governance, equity matters, and public filings.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Drive total rewards strategy across mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other transactions in partnership with Corporate Development, HR, Legal, Finance, business leaders, and subject-matter experts.
- Lead compensation and benefits due diligence, uncover financial and talent risks, model costs, and translate findings into practical recommendations that inform critical deal decisions.
- Design retention and compensation transition strategies, lead the integration of pay programs, job levels, incentives, and equity, and coordinate stakeholders to deliver timely solutions throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Expanded Enterprise Leadership Scope
- Broaden your enterprise impact over time by taking ownership of priorities such as job architecture and leveling, salary structures, incentive design, and compensation governance.
- Develop forward-looking perspectives on emerging compensation issues and recommend practical approaches aligned with Veralto’s business and talent strategy.
- Lead cross-enterprise compensation initiatives from strategy through execution, bringing together HR, Finance, Legal, and the operating companies to drive alignment and results.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in executive compensation, total rewards, human capital, transaction advisory consulting, a public company, or a combination of these environments.
- Deep expertise in executive compensation, including benchmarking, incentive design, equity programs, proxy disclosures, and governance.
- Experience in M&A, compensation and benefits due diligence, transaction modeling, retention planning, or post-close integration is preferred. Strong adjacent transaction experience and the ability to quickly develop M&A expertise will also be considered.
- Advanced financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including Excel proficiency and experience building complex compensation or transaction models and translating insights into business and talent decisions.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage concurrent priorities, influence stakeholders, and guide colleagues, advisors, and cross-functional partners in a complex, matrixed global organization.
